which card is a better card is it worth the upgrade... lets say if i can get an x800 for 100.00 would that be good whats its the best bang for my money

x800 should give you framerates at least 50% higher at 1024x768 in most games. You'll see a bigger boost as the resolution increases.

i could possibly go that route since it will be gogin on a nforce board maybe compatibility would be better...I dont know. Nvidia sickens me but i wont find one for 140 as where i know where right now where i can get an x800 for 75.00 plus tax and shipping

im glad i read the full details.

Is that a Dell pull? If so, it's not a bad card at all, very comparable to a x800 GT. Compare the spec's. From what I hear, fairly OC'able as well.

SE = 128-bit memory, no?

The ones I have pulled from Dell's were 256-bit. In fact here were the spec's...

R423 Core (8x1)
8 Pixel Pipelines
256-bit DDR3 Memory
425Mhz Core Clock Speed
351Mhz Memory Clock (702Mhz Effective)
DVI/VGA/TV-out Outputs

I assume this is an AGP X800 SE? Probably not worth the upgrade, it's probably a little faster, but if I were in your shoes, I'd wait and save some more money. Or, sell the 9700 Pro for $60, and spend $160 on a used 6800 or X800 pro off FS/T forums.

well as funny as it sounds...I just bought a k8n neo2 platinium... Then i was liek this will work then i started thinking about the nforce 4....and just upgraded a again to nforce 4...this board has everything i need except agp which means new video card for me...

wann buy a board and video card...LOL

Um, my x800 was $189 at newegg. How are you getting it for $100 new?

BTW its a great card. Runs Everything that I play (CS:S and BF2) on high everything at highest resolution with my 2.5ghz.
