It would be a lot easier to understand if you ran the Benchmark.exe file in the /UT2003/System folder..you'll see it's the right thing if it lets you choose the resolution.

btw, how come you never left me any heatware after our trade?

I found that the Benchmark.exe does not play all 3 demos, and does not allow me to run 1280x1024. Anyway.. here are a couple from Benchmark.exe: I will try to fix the above benches to be easier to read.

Anti-Aliasing: 4x
Anisotropic Filtering: 8x
Texture/Mipmap Quality..Maxed
Vertical Sync: AP
Trueform: AP
All Settings on "Quality"

800x600
FlyBy: 144.445755
BotMatch: 62.182205 FPS

1024x768
FlyBy: 98.088488
BotMatch: 55.825455 FPS

btw, how come you never left me any heatware after our trade?
 Sorry, I am behind on yours and quite a few others....

it's alright, you can see I left feedback here, and you can leave me feedback easily by clicking here

Those scores are damn good..about the same i'm getting without ANY AA or AF..let alone yours at 4x AA and 8x AF..damn..can you take some high res pictures in a good area? I can host them if you want.

of course i am, i didnt buy a 400$ grapics card to play in ugly mode ;)

but it shouldnt matter anyway as it says in the readme that the benches are always run at max settings. i am curious as to what the issue is, i checked your 3dmark scores and you did notably beter than me so i would be hard pressed to say you have something misconfigured http://service.madonion.com/compare?2k1=4471814. maybe just the diffrence between an amd and an intel in the game, granted thats realy gonnna burn a lot of intel zellots it its true. :D

btw i just reran it and got 82.1/43.9. im almost positive the scores i posted above are right for what it ran last night but i cant say i am infoulable and might have made a mistake. the scores i posted right there hower i can assure you were posted directly from the results and are at all the same settings i mentioned above.

I don't know what it is
I ran it again at your settings and I got 69 and 45 FPS respectively.
So for some reason you're wasting me on the flybys.

maybe its your overclocked fsb that is giveing the game a fit? i know its a long shot but maybe the card just chokes on the uped agp bus. if that is not it i am truely looking forward to more peoples numbers to help figure this out.

the agp and pci are running at 66/33 respectively. It doesn't really matter to me since the demo plays very smoothly and looks great.

Wow it took me almost 2.5 years to reach 200 posts

Hey Thesnowman I might have figured it out. Do you have performance or quality selected for Anisotropic filtering?

Vertical Sync: AP
Trueform: AP

1280x960
FlyBy: 66.811630 FPS
BotMatch: 43.214 FPS

Anti-Aliasing: 4x
Anisotropic Filtering: 16x (Performance)
Texture/Mipmap Quality..Maxed
Vertical Sync: AP
Trueform: AP

1280x960
FlyBy: 85.37 FPS
BotMatch: 51.86 FPS

Anti-Aliasing: 4x
Anisotropic Filtering: 8x (performance)
Texture/Mipmap Quality..Maxed
Vertical Sync: AP
Trueform: AP

1280x960
FlyBy: 88.6 FPS
BotMatch: 53.94 FPS

Anti-Aliasing: 4x
Anisotropic Filtering: 8x (Quality)
Texture/Mipmap Quality..Maxed
Vertical Sync: AP
Trueform: AP

1280x960
FlyBy: 69 FPS

Looks like the leading edge of Tropical Storm Hanna (or depression) has come to Atlanta

Well klah, I hope you like rain. Of course it has been a long time since it rained so it may actually be kind of nice.

TheSnowman ; Is it possible that since the benchmark program adjust settings based on the system that we are running different benchmarks?

Feeder bands will continue to spread across north and central Georgia this afternoon and evening. Some of these feeder bands will produce rainfall amounts of 1 to 2 inches. The heaviest rain is expected to move across north and central Georgia overnight as the center of Tropical Depression Hanna moves across north Georgia. The heaviest rain will likely remain along and south of the track of Hanna... generally south of a line from Carrollton... to Blue Ridge ... Where additional rainfall amounts of 2 to 4 inches are possible.

i realy dont think so, for the botmatch ones yes, we are running diffrent benchs as cpu speed detemains the actions taken by the bots. however from what i understand the videocard alone determines the grapics settings an anything gefroce/radeon and up should run at the same game settings. it all seems prety cut an dry to me anyway after reading the notes in the readme.

just ran it again and got:

Anti-Aliasing: 4x
Anisotropic Filtering: 16x quality
Texture/Mipmap Quality..Maxed
Vertical Sync: AP
Trueform: AP

1280x960

flyby:93.5
botmatch 46.6

note i got that after rebooting from reinstalling the 2.3's over the top of the 2.3s i was currently running. i did that because at the advice of others i aplied the ati d3d patch for the 2.2 drivers to the 2.3 drivers and benched ut to get like 70 in the flyby and 35 in the botmatch. did you by chance install the d3d patch over the 2.3 drivers?

I did apply the patch. I'll reinstall the 2.3 and check

After reinstalling the 2.3's I get exactly the same as before

They weren't kidding when they said to use the 3xxx drivers.
The 40.41 drivers make all the colors look like crap.
Huge difference when going back to the older drivers.

It definately runs slower, but at least everything doesn't have that dull look to it.

Nice scores on the 9700 btw

I ran the benchie at 640 x 480 on my 8Mb TNT2-Vanta, with a 1GHz Duron doing the dirty work. Results were: 16fps in flyby and 13fps in botmatch. The game IS playable at 640 x 480 with the settings cranked down most of the way. I ended up sticking my GF2 GTS-V back in, however, and it certainly is far smoother now.

If you really want to get some laughs, host a LAN deathmatch and set minimum players to 64. Seeing 63 bots slug it out in DM is quite a sight! :Q It brought my Duron to a crawl.

If your flybys are low you prob have vsync on... thats what happened to me the first time, my bots was about the same as everyone else, but my flybys were much lower.

thats odd because i always run with vsync on but the benchmark always automaticly runs without vsync.
