Radeon 9700 Pro TV-Out is stuck in black and white

I can't get it to display in color. I have the S-Video sharpness setting set to max (not black and white). Any ideas? Thanks

It seems to be my S-Video to RCA adapter. The adapter is a 4-pin S-Video adapter. I just tried the 7-pin adapter that came with my laptop and the composite out works great.

guess i was too late.

that was happening with my 9700 pro also. BW picture and the TV out would work about 10% of the time.

my wire was fubar'd.

Did you replace the wire? I'm wondering if I need a 7-pin adapter or would a 4-pin work?
