Yeah... idiotically, I chose ground shipping over 2 day air, and they are only a dollar in difference. Oh well, the dollar will go towards some corsair ram, hehe.

I will report on drivers when it gets in. I primarily play EQ and DAoC, so it won't be much use to you FPS players. But I will test it with Q3 arena, and UT as well.

well, just can not imagine spend 330 on a video card. I just ordered 2 Planar 19" monitors from dell.
 
I got my 2 planar 19"'s from dell last week. I used to like my twin view on the radeon 8500's. some reason the second monitor doesnt look as crisp on this Geforce 4 4600 i have. Or had. I just sold it 5 minutes after I ordered the 9700 to some one for $330. I paid $319 for it 4 months ago from the TCWO.com deal if you all remember it.

PS there is one born every minute.
 
Hehe. I am far from rich. I just figured it was time to finally splurge on the cutting edge. Besides, I'm a college student, so this purchase knocked out half my checking account. So that leaves 300 bucks for a P4 2.53, abit it7, a stick of corsair 3200c2 (512 megs), and 250 dollars worth of books for the fall...

Well they charged My credit card within a half hour after i ordered it. Here we go, I'll post if i get a tracking number tomorrow. Since it says on their site, "ships withing 24 hours"

 
I've ordered from gamestop twice before In the last say 8 months, No problems. There are about 4 gamestop stores within 20 miles of my house and one within 2 miles. Any problems or scam and i'll burn all of them to the ground. "just kidding" unless i dont get my cards!!!!hahahahaha

Ya, mine came up as backordered, but I still put it through anyway - hopefully they'll get more stock in quickly.

I wouldn't be surprised if they got a few hundred orders before the offer expires - people are chatting about it in alt.comp.periphs.videocards.ati as well.
