Hello,

I have just bought a Radeon 9700 on the net and here is what happened. I have received the card today, installed the drivers...and to my surprise it has been recognized as a Radeon 9700 Pro. I did not believe the drivers and so I installed RivaTuner and checked the clock and memory speeds: they were 324Mhz and 310Mhz I believe for the memory. So that is consistent with my findings as well. I would be happy if this is all the way it seems to be, but then I thought of something......Could this be a hacked card where they flash is with a Radeon 9700 Pro bios? If this was so, then would the card keep its overclocked speed when taken out of the computer? Can anyone help with this? Thank you

Hmm.....so it is possible that this has happened? This is an OEM white box card, that's why it could have happened I am guessing. Would there be a way for me to find out for sure what the default clocks are? I have used Sisoft Sandra and Wcpuid and they both show Radeon 9700 Pro. Does it say anywhere on the card?
