Radeon 9700 or GeForce 4 ti 4600?

I'm planning on getting a new video card in a month or so. Now I'm currently using a GeForce 2 Ultra and have never had a problem with it or any of Nvidias products. Well I would like to know if any one is having problems with the ATI Radeon 9700 Pro? I have a good feeling that the GeForce 4 ti 4600 should be problem free but what about the new Radeon? I look forward to your comments. :)

If you can afford it then definitely get the 9700 as it totally blows away the Ti4600. In terms of driver support nVidia is still the best but ATi's Catalysts 2.3s work extremely well for the most part and I only have a few minor issues.

Like the others said. If your pocket is deep then go for anything you want practically, but i suggest waiting till december and getting the NV30. That will for sure blow away the 9700. Its worth the wait. Thats what im doing. I was tempted to buy the 9700 but i know it wouldn't compare to the NV30 =)

I have a 9700 atm but in december Ill hand it down to my lesser machine and replace it with the NV30. It will be an amazing piece of hardware.

funny the comments on the NV30... people speak as if they KNOW it will beat the R9700 whereas they likely are just hoping it will.
Don't get me wrong, nvidia is a good company and I have no doubts that nv30 will rock, and even probably beat the R9700 in most cases, but by how much? I dunno and really, nobody knows except nVidia... so comments on it are baseless and personally unless we have confirmation (not rumors) from nVidia that it will be a revolutionary change and improvement. So then if it's not a huge jump then why wait for it expect maybe to let the prices drop? I'd wait for an AMD Hammer, or Serial ATA as those are new tech, likely to not only fend off obsolescence longer, but to add performance. NV30 is probably very comparable to the R9700 since it's supposed to be AGP8x/DX9/competing product... etc....
I could be off base, but I've never seen anything on NV30 to warrant waiting and paying extra for it. I'm not a fanboy of anyone and I won't throw away $100 for 20fps.
