Basically I needa video card to go with my
epox 8rda+
2100+
512mb hyperx pc3000

Which card would best suit me. I mean the
9700pro is $300
9500pro OEM $181
and ive been offered 9700 non-pro $200

My question is what am i better off getting. I mean whats the speed difference between a 9500pro,9700,and 9700pro.

The person selling the 9700 said his was oem with the red pcb,7 blade fan and samsung ram. I heard people saying these thing are really 9700pros. Help me out here

I'd go for the 9700 you can simply flash the bios and turn it into a pro asme u some bucks the 256 bit memory should be a big advantage over the 9500 pro's 128 bit. it only another 20 bucks too !!!

I had problems with my Radeon 9700 Pro and my 8RDA+.Seems like a lot of people are having issues with the Radeon and Nforce mobo's.I ended up selling my 9700 Pro and getting a GeForce 4 card and ran a lot better. Now that I run an Intel setup I will be getting another 9700 Pro later this week. There are people running with no problems but a lot are having trouble also.

is it possible to get an already unlocked card? The guy said he didnt unlock it. It already was and he didnt need to flash the bios.
" I was going to flash the bios, but the card was not locked and shows up in the bios as a 9700pro."
"The video card is not factory locked and runs rock solid at 335mhz core(275 stock) speed and 300 mhz memory(250stock). It ran 3dmark 2001 at over 14,100"
"I was going to flash the bios, but the card was not locked and shows up in the bios as a 9700pro. The card has only been used for a few hours, mostly to benchmark. The memory appears to be the same samsung that is on the pro model."
