Wonder if anyone has any idears or has heard of this.
On a few games i get werid things. Empires for example. under any Catalyst driver when i click on the settings/options words, all the settings page dialog just superimposes itself over the main page. same thing for some other of the same type screens. if i use pre-catalyst drivers it works fine.
Korea-forgotten war. if i put graphics all the way especially 16x12 with full AA then i lose all color/textures. I had this happen on the COD demo awhile back too.
Last but not least when swapping drivers for empires, i ran aquamark3 and noticed that with the pre-catalyst driver my cpu score was 6323 and GPU was 4722 - total of 34390 with my fps at 34.39.
when i use the 3.8 or 3.9 catalyst driver i get a CPU score of 5232 GPU:4998 total of 33828 and FPS at 33.83
kinda sounds like the new drivers really suck on your CPU.
