radeon 9700/9800 power cable

i recieved a used radeon 9700 pro today but quickly realized it did not come w/ the power extension cable. no way do i want to shell out $10 plus $10+ on shipping for a tiny cable to get it strait from ati so first off i have to ask if anyone knows where i could find such a thing shipped cheap.

second, i read somewhere that i might be able to simply use a floppy power connector to plug into the card. is this true? could i use my floppy power cable as a temp fix to my lack of power problem? it appears as if the connectors are the same so basically would the voltage running through the cable be the same?

thanks

you may have just made my night, altho with only one floppy power connector, things could get interesting the next time i want to flash my bios 😱

If your interested in making your own .....

I saved the wires from my old Enermax PS.
I'd be willing to cut one of those connectors off and send it to you for a couple bucks +shipping.

PM me.

if thats all it takes i have a few old PSU's laying around back at home (im at school now) which i could do something with. thanks for the offer tho
