I have used this same card in two different XP MCE setups before and it worked great.
I just rearranged some things and built a new system from scratch with this 9600XT AGP card, and now in MCE when playing either an XviD video or HDTV stream, when there is a lot of movement (such as a perosn walking down a hall), it looks like it is redrawing the background, as if it is slightly behind. It is hard to explain, but maybe I can get pics or video.
Could this be caused by newer driver? I have reinstalled the newest driver and it works the same. Should I try an older one? Which one?
It is connected to my HDTV at 1152x648 resolution. I also set it to 800x600 and it did the same.
I am using a Soltek s754 motherboard running a Via chipset (because it actually implements s3 properly).
Before using cards that did not have enough power caused it to stutter. This is not stuttering, but my best description is that it is lagging in rendering the background (though I know rendering is likely not the right word). When panning, etc. is when it has this issue, and also when the bitrate of video is highest.
Any recommendations?
