Radeon 9600XT combined Nforce2

Hey, I'll make this short and sweet, as not to bore you guys/gals :-D, anyways. My old setup featured my Geforce4 TI4600 combined with my ABIT NF7 (NVidia Nforce2), for a nice nvidia combination. So, yesterday, my GPU on my 4600 blows, long story short, I researched and bought the replacement card; Radeon 9600XT. Question is, will the nforce2 and 9600XT have any conflict issues, or anything go wrong that I should know about? Hopefully not...but I figured I'd ask to postpone any future problems. Thanks!

There shouldn't be any issues. I have a 9600pro on an N-Force 2 board. Why did you go with the XT? the newest 9600pro's have the same GPU. My 9600pros is a coupel months old aand I have it OCed to 470/350.

Well, I went with the XT simply because I usually go with the best of the best (hence why I went with the 4600 when it came out, and that was by far worth it), and after doing some research on the XT, i realized it had small improvements over the pro, which was enough to pursuade me into getting it, knowing that either way I was going to be "downgrading" if you will...and I still wanted something for as good as I could afford at the time.

If you wanted the best of the best, why didn't you get a 9800XT? The 9600 will work in the NF2 board.

not really any hardware conflicts..
there'll more likely be driver conflicts.. usually with opengl games, from my own experiences

OK, so you realize that a current mainstream card won't be a complete improvement over your previously high-end 4600. The XT is a decent card for the price, especially with HL2 bundled, but it's outpaced by high-end cards like the 9700P and above and the FX 5900.

You shouldn't have trouble with your MB.
