Whats the potential performance of the overclocked 9600 Pro?

I always found ATI's newer cards, built at performance levels of existing card, have their own rewards. The 9000PRO is so cool as compared to the 8500LE it was a no-brainer decision to go for the 9000PRO over it for the same money. I'd imagine the 9600PRO is going to be alot cooler and quieter than the 9500PRO, too.

It's early and speculative, but early results are showing MASSIVE overclocking potential... enough to easily slip past the 9500Pro in gaming performance.

Hmm... I have no problems with the 9600. None. :D

Guess there was nothing wrong with TSMC's 0.13 process?

567 Mhz OC'd at HardOCP; with stock memor rated at 700Mhz, this thing has a TON of headroom, complements of the .13u process.

Now, just think of the possiblitiies of R400 on .13u process....hmm.....

So

If i'm reading the reviews and all the comments here correctly, i can safely conclude that ATI has another winner.

this bodes well for the consumer. i hope NVidia stays around tho. the idea of NVidia and ATI going head to head, keeping prices lower and performance higher is VERY VERY nice.
