Radeon 9600 Mobility with Mobility Catalyst v7.2 Problems

I upgraded my drivers from v6.12 to v7.2 here recently and the new control panel just lets me adjust the resolution and position of the monitor. 2D/3D settings and power saving features are nowhere to be found now. Anyone else experience a similar issue.

My notebook isn't officially supported by AMD's website, but I've always just downloaded them directly, installed, and everything worked just peachy in the past.

I run 7.2 (also modded .ini) on nc6000 with 9600with no problems at all.

Are you sure you installed it correctly? Maybe .NET v3.0 playing (i still have 2.0)

Hmm, I did a Google search for modding the .ini files and found this.

Also, the Omega 7.1 based drivers work heavenly on my mobility 9600.

I eventually went with the Omega 7.1s simply because I hate running CCC on my laptop and I now have more options than I know what to do with.
