Radeon 9600 & Direct 3d problem

Recently built a AMD64 system (MSI Neo 2 ultra) AMD 3000+ cpu, 1 ghz ram. For just general usage, I decided to use a Rosewill Radeon 9600 128mb ram Video card. Everything looks fine and dandy- except whe I try to run a Direct3d game- its a no-go

I've made sure and uninstalled and installed the latest drivers (for both motherboard and Video). Also, made doubly sure that DirectX 9 is installed. DXDiag shows no Direct3d support- am I missing something, or is something pure and simply screwed up?

If dxdiag shows that Direct3D is not working, then something is hosed with your drivers.

I would suggest:

Use Driver Cleaner to get rid of both your video card and chipset drivers.

Reinstall your chipset drivers.

Reinstall DirectX9.0C.

THEN install your video card drivers.

This should fix any driver conflicts you might be having.
