Hey guys, I want to pick up a Radeon 9500 and convert it to the 9700 with the bios flash thats been going around. Anyway, I do not really know too much about Radeons and the directions call for converting a 256bit Radeon 9500 into a 9700. My question is how do I determine whether the Radeon 9500 I'm looking at is 128bit or 256 bit? Is the 64MG version the 128bit one and the 128MB version the 256bit one?

Any help with this would be appreciated

Sam

hey:) thanks alot for responding. I followed the link and the 2nd one down actually has 4 ram chips lined up and the description says 8xAGp 128 bit floating point. bla blah.

Am I missing something?

Thanks for your time

You're right, they changed it. Hmm, must have ran out of those then (they are a hot item). Not sure where else they sell them. Sorry bud. When I made my post it was the right one though, glad you caught that!

The correct card for the mod is actually the first one in the link. You can only turn a 128MB 9500 non-pro into a 9700.
