radeon 9500 problems

i tried using wizzards softmod to get my radeon 9500 to perform like a 9700, everything successful, benchmarks were good but I got a line near the bottom of the screen of small black square dots, they dont appear all the time though, they're there sometimes and someimes they're not there. I tried increasing agp voltage to 1.6, i tried enabling 2xAA. 4xAA, 6xAA. 16 bit z-buffering. however I couldn't find an opengl and direct x folder in my registry when i tried to disable Hierarchical-Z. so i couldn't disable Hierarchical-Z

If you are getting artifacts after your mod, chances are that the other four pipelines are not functioning properly.
Undo your mod and see if the artifacts go away. If the artifacts are still there, RMA the card.
