I recently bought the 9500 Pro (ATI made) at Best Buy for $149 plus tax (total: $160). And now I was made aware that the Sapphire 9500 non-pro was around $140 (Total: $150 with tax) at various places. I was wondering if it was worth returning the card to best buy and go for the sapphire since people have been having success turning them into 9700's. How does the 9500 Pro compare to the 9500 non-pro in case the mod fails? What do you guys think I should do? Thanks!

keep in mind that the success rate for the 9500np's is not 100%.
i was in the same dilema last week and decided on the same card you bought at best buy.
i've been able to overclock my card to 399/309 to run some benchmarks, but for everyday use i set it to 375/300.
let me tell you, this card is almost like a 9700.

Check the FS/FT forum. Though, even there, 9500 Pro's are hard to come by. I just bought one for $155 shipped.
