Radeon 9500 Pro - should I take this card or the latest?

Im getting a Radeon 9500 Pro 128MB for cheap. Should I take this card or put in more cash for a 9800 etc? Will the 9800 make much of a speed/graphical difference over a 9500 Pro? I want to be able to play newer games like Prince of Persia Sands of Time and Beyond Good and Evil and upcoming games like Doom3/HalfLife2 at a decent framerate at 1024x768 resolution with all graphical settings on high.

Is there a comparision chart somewhere between these 2 cards for curent games?

err dont pay attention to the the nvidia scores- they had crappy drivers when they tested it- but there's a good example of the ATI's matched together.

Depending on how cheap you can get the 9500pro for- the 9800 and up would of course be a lot better to get. Keep in mind the 9500pro (if its a good one) will overclock to a 9700-

as for your games- the 9500pro plays most of the current games with ease- not too sure how doom3 is gonna match up with it though- plus your system will be a big limiter if its not equally good.

System is Athlon 2600+, 1 gig RAM, ASUS A7N8X Deluxe. So Radeon 9500 Pro should be good enough for Doom3? Does it have all the features that 9800 plus have?

Thanks.
