Hi, the fan on my radeon 9500pro has been buzzing really loudly. I opened it up and put a little mineral oil (the only oil I had ;) in it. It seems to be making less noise and I think it should be okay for now.

But what I am wondering about though, is where can I buy a replacement fan for the stock heatsink?

Thanks in advance
Ian

On eBay you can find replacement heatsinks, but consider an Arctic Cooling VGA Silencer as well... They have become dirt cheap, and cool waaay better than that stock fan...

lol guys
thanks for your help, but I'm not looking for a heatsink. I'm just looking for a replacement fan.
Any ideas?

if you really just want the fan, then I'd throw a WTB on the For Sale/Trade Fourum

The fan is integrated pretty tightly into the heatsink so it's actually easier to replace the entire heatsink. Besides I don't think there is much of a chance of finding a fan of an exact fit.

The fan died on my old Ti4200. I ended up getting a Thermaltake Crystal Orb. It's pretty loud but works nonetheless. I might put my newly removed Abit chipset cooler (also known as the Vantec Iceberq) onto the Ti4200 and have some AS5 on it. Honestly, get a new heatsink. I would rather replace the whole sink than spend that much time to find a replacement fan. And that VGA Silencer is damned cheap.
