Radeon 9500 Pro & 19inch SyncMaster 955DF

I recently got a 19inch Samsung monitor and Radeon 9500 Pro. I've been having a few problems though. The main one is I can't even run the monitor at its preferred resolution (1280x1024x75hz), which is what I prefer as well, but the monitor always shakes. I have to run it in 60hz and even then it shakes in games sometimes, and the flicker is just unbearable. My first 9500 pro died on me after 5 months (knew I should've stuck with Nvidia), so I'm starting to think its the card.

The only other thing I'll mention is at first, I could run in 1280x1024x75hz, but then after a few hours it started to shake on and off for a few minutes back and forth. Now no matter what it shakes.

If it is still under warranty (and Samsung's warranties run from 1-3 years)
you will need to do that. It definitely is a problem with the monitor
(possibly a bad recitifier or cap on the chassis)

It's definitely a monitor problem? Damn, I was hoping it wasn't, now I've gotta pay the high ass shipping cost for a 50lb monitor.

So you're sure it's not a problem with the brand new 9500 pro (monitor is brand new as well)?

Thanks for your help though.

You could try the montior connected up to a different PC and see if the problem remains,I was going to suggest install the latest Samsung 955 monitor drivers as well, but it sounds like your monitor is faulty to me.
