Radeon 9500 power connector

I just picked up a 9500 pro and hooked it up to the power supply using the split cable provided, but I realized that I had a line coming from the power supply with the same exact end that was going into my 9500. Does anyone know if this is connector will work? I'd prefer not to have another two sets of wires blocking airflow if it isn't necessary.

LOL. Of course not. It's because I got rid of several wires from the adapter that were messing with my airflow.
