When i get in counter-strike source and start a game up and go to options ingame it freezes up and i get graphical glitches and then vpu recover kicks in and makes the screen flash like 5 times then it comes up with a error, it says VPU recovery failed and wants me to send a report to ATI because of the problem. I think this is crap that it does this...does anyone else have this card and experience this problem? cuz i do it looks like a dos computer freaking out on a old game back in 1993...

but recentlyi just went into cs:S and tried the stress test under x2 AA to see how it worked and it worked with 27.7fps so i went to options and to turn it down and all of the sudden LOCK UP!! and then the screen just went black and acted like the montor got disconected cuz my green light on my monitor went ot orange which shows no iput... what is wrong is it my ram? i dont understand...

tested ram no problems, It has to be my vid card, is it dead?

BTW this happens on multiple games not only CS:S so it isnt the game and ive tried alot of drivers such as 4.9-4.12

Try updating your motherboard chipset.

If that doesn't work, I really imagine that the card has died. Try another video card that you may have lying around or from someone else.
