Radeon 9250 vs Geforce FX 5700LE HELP PLEASE!!!!

Ok, the 9250 is 256MB ddr(yes i know 256 dont help at this level, but this is the cheapest 9250 with 128 bit memory) and the 5700le im not sure about.
Does anybody know which card would be faster in half life 2? What about most new games in general?

My friend only has pci, and im looking for the absolute fastest pci video card on the market, and i have narrowed it down to these 2. Which would be faster in hl2 and other games? THANKS ALOT!!!

your probably not seeing anyone really answering you is becuase most of us dont use PCI cards anymore, and its old technology, so its really hard for any of us to give you and accurate opinion.

Also, it probably really doesn't matter. Your severely limited by the slot, so both cards are pretty close to bring the same. It probably really doesn't matter which you get, becuase they are basically the same.

Also, no one really ever reviewed these cards, and the 5700LE, is just card that never got reviewed, so its hard to form and opinion.

Now that being said, what I can gather is, if it was me, i would get the 5700le. 1st of all its Direct X 9.0, adn Open GL 1.5, where the 9250 is 8.1 and 1.3. The 5700le also is newly technology, though both have 4 pipes, and 1 shader as their technology. And from what I have read the 5700LE, is a better overclocker. So if it was me, I would get the 5700LE.

Its probably close either way. Good luck, let us know what you get.

I did google and I know the 5700 should be faster in most things, but from reviews I have read, most FXs have real problems playing half life 2, while the radeons do not. I was wondering if the 5700 is fast enough to still be faster then the 5700 in half life 2. DX9 isnt really a buying point for this card as it is not fast enough to really play and dx9 games in dx9 mode.
