I've been interested in the latest SFF for a while, and noticed that a few sites have been claiming that the 9100 IGP has the most powerful on-board video available for the SFF computers. My question is, what (if any) is the on-board video comperable to? I noticed that some sites also refer to it as the RS300.

The Radeon 9700 runs on the R300, and I know they chips are totally different, but I the naming convention seems almost to much of a coincedence. So I would assume that you get close to the performance of the bottom line 9700, but I read that the 9100 IGP only supports DirectX 8.1, and I know the 9700 supports DirectX 9. So possibly the 9100 IGP offers performance less than the Radeon 9200, since the 9200 only support DirectX 8.1

Anybody know the real low down?

Edit: Oops. Had to correct question because I confused RS300 and R300

If you are really interested in IGP with an Intel setup then wait for the 9100 IGP PRO to hit the shelves Optimized for Prescott, better memory controller, and expected to have much better overclockability too. The 9100 you are looking at is a terrible overclocker, has a crappy memory controller, and is outperformed by the nF2 IGP in many benchies.

I'm not looking to buy a SFF any time soon. Maybe 6 Months from now. I have never been one to buy top of the line equipment when I can get great used stuff cheaper.

Since I was unable to find any actual word on the built in Video Card's framerates vs. other ATI chips, I thought there might be someone here who knew what was up. Dual channel IGP Pro sounds like it will be real nice when it hits.
