Radeon 9000 vs 9000pro

Looking for advice on the better value for my needs, which card to purchase. (Radeon 9000 or 9000 Pro)
I do little high end gaming but am looking for a card with good TV out quality to play DVD's and the such.
Will one of these cards fulfill my needs, if not any recomendations for $100 or less.
Thanks

For less than $100, you'll be looking at a 64 MB model of the "Pro" card. The non-Pro version of the 9000 can be found for about $66 in a 64 MB configuration. To get a Pro with 128 MB of memory, you'll pay about $113 + shipping (and up). Personally, if I were you, I'd go for the Pro version of the 9000. It's clocked at a higher speed, plus you should be able to push it a little further. 64 MB may be enough memory from the way you described your gaming needs. The TV-Out quality should be real nice: 1024 x 768 resolution.

😉 When buying any new card it isn't really a good idea to be skimp and get a 64MB card, some current games and certainly games due out will be expecting more RAM and selling on a 64MB in 6 months+ is not going to be easy at any price. You may find a Rad9000 with 128MB from some 3rd party manu and that would be a fine card, in any case Rad9000 will be about 20% slower than the 9000PRO but you should expect a good o/c to PRO type speeds. In any case Rad8500LE is still superior to even the Rad9000PRO and a 128MB version should be well under $100, that would be my recommendation by quite a long way.
