Radeon 8500le Win xp Problems!!!

My Hercules 64mb 8500le causes the system to crash about twice a day -
I went to ATI's cite and downloaded what I think is the latest driver for it ( It was from about 2 months ago)
This didnt do anything to solve the problem -
Is this a common occurence with the Radeon 8500 and xp?
Any suggestions on how to deal with the problem?
Fortunately I get a message saying that the system has recovered from a serious error and I just go about my business till the next crash -
It never seems to crash when I am acually on the computer

It's never been a problem for me. Try downloading the newest drivers... again. Catalyst 2.3 drivers are out.

Ive got the hercules R8500LE 128 meg card w/winXP and Ive never had a problem. Why do you think this is a graphics card problem?

Windows says that the 8500 was responsible for the error when it gives the system recovery message
