Radeon 8500le passive?

I got a radeon 8500le that has a bad fan for $5 recently so I decide to use it to render my work instead of laboring on with onbaord(long story about why I'm using onboard video to render complex objects, tip: dont ever trade with anyone named michael daniels aka tigerair81@yahoo.com). So anyway I disconnected the fan and I have a seytup where a 80mm fan is blowing on the card like this

would this work? will the card overheat? I did this with a geforce2ti back in the day and it worked fine but I'm not sure if 8500les get hotter or not.
 
it'll probably work just fine. that 80 mm fan pushes a lot more air than the little one ever did.
