Hey, what's up everybody? There's a lot of excitement going on with the graphics cards! I just bought a Radeon 8500LE 128 mb card for $150 but I hear that ATI's 9000 series cards are going to be on shelves in less than a month! I got the 128 mb version because of possible future games that require much more memory. I'm not much of a Quake or Doom player and the games that I'm mostly playing are GTA III and Jedi Outcast. I don't even know if they use up all that 128 mb on the 8500LE! I'm on a tight budget right now so I'm wondering if I should return the 8500 LE 128mb card ($150) and get the new low end 9000 64mb card (~$130). Any suggestions?

In most cases, the 8500 will be faster than the 9000. The 9000 core is a neutered, so to speak, 8500 core. The 8500 is more powerful, even though the model number is lower. :)

IMO, I would return it and get a 128 meg geforce 4 ti4200 for ~170 from here.

Here are some benchmarks.
