It is a manufacturers mail in rebate. That means ATI right? I am thinking of getting this and one of those 80gig hard drives if they still have any in stock.

Haven't shopped price much but NewEgg has this for $322 shipped, and no wait for rebate...and taxes in many states will amount to $20ish on $350 so this is not all that great really.

Thats a good point, although some people may not want to wait for shipping, and since it is an ATI rebate, you are pretty sure it will go through, so not to worried about that. Plus after rebate it is like 2 dollars cheaper then newegg for me.

No newegg has one in the oem box that is only missing the software-Price 299.00 plus 10.00 shipping

They also have a the reatil for 315.00 and 7.00 shipping thus 322.00

I was there at 11 this morning (Rochester NY) and they had a whole skid of those hd's. The things that went fast , the ATI TV cards and the 300w PS and the CF cards. I saw one person with a cart full of the PS. Luckily I was able to grab one.

Buy.com has it for $316.93 with free shipping. Says it's on backorder, but I doubt it will be for long seeing as these cards are readily available.

This is a good deal but you can get one for a couple dollars more off the net with out the wait for rebates.

Wasn't there a thread the other day on this card at BestBuy for like $425 + $100 giftcard? I can't seem to find it. Could get them to pricematch and then use the mfr rebate and still get the gift card, too.

Or am I thinking of another product???

i have to disagree about ati rebates being good
it took me 9 months to get my last one from them and that was with 6 emails and two letters

If newegg sells the retail box for $315 then it would have the UPC for the ATI rebate! That would be a gret deal!

Unfortunately, the rebate form specifically says the card has to be purchased at compusa

I must second the poor ATI rebate post. Took me 9 months to get a $10 rebate from them a few years back, and 8 months on a $20 rebate about a year and a half ago.

To me, it isn't worth waiting 6+ months to save <$20, but thats just MHO.

edit: ya'know, I'm looking at pricewatch here, and there are plenty of places (newegg being one) to get this card for about $320 shipped.
Depending on where you are, TAX is gonna push this baby up over that. (for example, my tax is 7.75%, so the card would actually be 327+ after both rebates). You're gonna be paying sales tax on $350, as mentioned earlier.

So, depending on your local tax, this probably isn't even cheaper than online AFTER the rebates....
