I just need to get this straight

The Radeon Retail runs at 275/275

The OEM ones runs at 250/250 and the

LE runs at 230/230?

Im about to buy an OEM one from an online dealer and wanted to know if all OEM's are actually 250/250.
I dont want to wind up with an LE.

Also, I want one that is made by ATI, not a 3rd party manufacturer. Is there anyways to check to see if the one I want if in face made by ATI and an OEM versions?

Thanks

If it's a genuine ATI product, it'll say "built by ATI". If it doesn't, it isn't 😀

Some OEMs are 230/230, so beware. Most are 250/250 and can be easily overclocked to retail (275/275) but there are no guarantees. Purchase from a reliable retailer with a good return policy.

My advice is, just get the retail version.. if you care about the clock speeds. You don't wanna go buy an OEM expecting 250/250 and then find out it's 230/230

Get the retail version then your guaranteed that it is running at 275/275. Besides you get the nice box, 3 year warranty and the cables too.

I live in China and I got an Retail Radeon 8500 that runs at 250/250 😕

Darn you ATi! I might try to flash to retail then RMA it if it starts giving me artifacts. You deserve it, ATi. And yes, it does say "Built by ATi and comes with 3 games, the VGA adapter... just runs at 250. What do you guys think *I* should do?
