Radeon 8500, screen corrupts occasionally at 32 bit color on desktop???

I have a Built By ATI 8500 128MB card with Cat 3.1's (3.0's did this too) and when I am alt tabbing mostly or sometimes looking at a picture the screen corrupts and sometimes the mouse disappears (an invisible box is left but no pointer).

It doesn't do it at 16 bit color.



Any ideas? Let me know if more information is needed.
