Okay,

After a lot of reading i've decided on a radeon 8500 64mb retail. does anyone know of where the best place to get this is? Also, I will be running it on an Abit KT7A nonraid board, via chipset. are there any compatibility problems with the video and mobo??? i have a 400w antec psu so should be no problem there.

thanks a bunch

thanks for the quick reply. do you think i should get the radeon 8500 64mb or the radeon 128mb 8500le version. the only reason i would think of the 128 is that it has bga memory that should be cooler, and i think the cores can be raised pretty far as well. how high can you get yours? don' t have much experience with ddr ram or the bga stuff, don' t even know how fast it is 4.0, 3.6? isn't the 64mb version 3.6 hynix stuff?

i'm also planning on using my amex blue card for one last pricematch and am trying to figure out which will have the lowest price in a month or so.

thanks,

Bamavoo, you mean the ver 1.0 of the motherboard?? How is it? I might try putting an XP cpu on my ver 1.1 board. I also have an 8500. I'm running a 1.4 thunderbird now.
