Radeon 8500 in! some advice wanted

I add/removed 40.41 detonator then regedited out all nvidia entries (i left nv entries as those are ambiguous).

Installed 2.3 catalyst drivers and the control panel, the 3D rage tweaker.

Anything else to do? I can't make 1152x864x85Hz (or 75Hz) full screen anymore, about a 1/4" border on my Samsung 17GLsi when with my TNT2 Ultra I could make it wider than needed at that setting....1280x1028 is cool though even at 75Hz which is my max at this resolution.

if you are stuck getting your screen to the edges of the monitor than you may be limited on your refresh...

TV out is enabled by default on the "Built by" cards and possibly some "Powered by" cards. Go to your Display Properties>Settings>Advanced>Displays. From there you can turn off the TV output and then the screen should stretch properly to your monitor.

Already had done that 🙂 still I am liking 1280x1020...it seems the 2D on this card is really good compared to my TNT2, even at 75Hz vs 85Hz.

Still can't get overclocking to work automatically...no r6probe found
