Hi. I don't know if my title makes sense but I will try to explain what I am trying to do. I am planing on buying a Radeon 8500 OEM (which are clocked at something like 230/230) and then flash the bios with the "retail" (?) version so that the Radeon will run at the norm of 275/275.

Can some of you help me out with this process? What programs do I need and what are the steps - in simple, easy to understand way (I'm not a tech :D)
THANKS!

Head on over to xcl-clan.com and pick up a file called FlashRadeon8500.zip.Extract it to a floppy.Use a win98 bootdisk to get to an a: prompt in dos then switch to the flash floppie and type start.the program will give you six choices.Choose number 5 and thats all there is to it.Reboot and you have a retail card.

Better use a utility to overclock it to 275/275 first and make sure it is stable. Alot of LE's cannot run retail speeds stable.
