Ugh. I'm lost on this one. My Radeon 8500 card under XP running the latest ATI drivers insists on resetting the primary display back from 1600x1200x85 to 1280x1024x75 to match the secondary monitor after every reboot. At that point I can happily change the resolution/refresh back to what it should be. Whenver I reboot and it reverts back.
If I disable the secondary monitor, the system keeps the correct resolution. I've tried everything I can think of (even switching the video connectors on the back of the machine and swapping the primary display via the monitors applet). Anyone else seen this, I'm not sure what to try next to debug this.
