Hi all,
I have been running a dual monitor setup on my Radeon 8500 for a while now. Up until yesterday I have been running a Sony G400 and a Hansol 701P. Yesterday, I got a NEC FP950 to replace the 17" Hansol.
Now, here is the problem. Whichever monitor I connect to the DVI output (using the dongle) gets "noisy" if it is set at 1600x1200 @ 70Hz or higher. The DVI connected monitor can run at 1600x1200 @ 60Hz just fine, but this is not very nice on the eyes
Currently I am running the second monitor at 1280x1024 @ 85Hz. The reason I bought the NEC FP950 was so I could run both monitors at 1600x1200 @ 85Hz. It is definately not a problem with the monitor, since if I connect the Sony through the DVI, I get the same results.
WinXP Pro
Radeon 8500 Retail (6047s and 6052s)
Abit KG7
Athlon XP 1900+
512 DDR
Audigy
I posted this at Rage3d as well, but I thought I would see if any of you could offer any suggestions.
Thanks,
-Erik
