Hello everyone,
I just reformatted my computer and installed Windows XP Pro. I am having trouble getting my Radeon 8500 to work with any on ATI's drivers. I even tried the Omega's driver. When the drivers are installed, the computer hangs at a black screen with my mouse pointer immobilized in the middle of the screen. I don't have any problem with prior versions of windows including 2000, but I can't seem to get XP working. I tried to use the latest VIA 4in1 drivers, but it still didn't work. If I disable the Radeon in safe mode, I can get my computer working great with good color depth and resolution, but the 3d drivers are not present. 2D looks great right now, although the refresh rates are kinda low and there in no way to change it without enabling the ATI drivers. I also tried using the ATI's AGP drivers for Win2000, but still no good. Can anyone help? My specs are below. Thanks.

384mb RAM 3 Sticks of 128mb Crucial brand
Enermax EG365PVE 350 watt PSU
Radeon 8500 OEM version clocked at 250/250
