Radeon 8500 AIW: AGP or PCI in Windows?

Research

Senior member
I have a new Radeon 8500 AIW card (4xAGP) running with my Intel mobo and P4 (2.66) under XP professional.

One strange thing that I noted was that in the device Manager, my 8500 Card properties suggest that the card is working properly in "PCI bus 1, device 0, function 0". Shouldn't the card be shown in the AGP slot instead of PCI?

Mine says the same thing (AIW7500 FIC AZ11 XP SP1) <Spare Rig not the one in my sig>. I think thats the way they are always listed.

Does that means that windows calls AGP slot as PCI slot?
I dunno, I always assumed it was because the AGP shared with PCI#1...but I could be way-off🙂 never worried about it.
