I was reading over a few posts from all those Radeon 8500 posts, and I was about to buy it on Dell. After tax, it came out to $219. Stupid Los Angeles tax. Anyhow. I heard something about OEM's not being made by ATI and yadda yadda about slower clocked RAM. Does anyone have any evidence or anything to say about me buying at Dell?

It's the last day for their 20% discount, so basically it's now or not for a while. What do you guys recommend?

Yup, it's retail. If you don't like it, send it back (like fieldtek said) or sell it on egay.

The card should be just fine. And if you do have problems, Dell should have a plan where you can return the card and get your money back within 30 days.

Don't be discouraged by the insanely low price. You are paying for a $253 product. The only reason you are paying so much less is because Dell is giving you a discount for buying the product from them.

Just got one too. I am building my first system and decided to go 8500 instead of saving the $70 and getting the gf2 pro. I hope that this card will reach its potential with the new drivers, but it was still a good buy at $200 so i wont be too disapionted if it just performs even with the gf3.

I had the same problem epod, but I think we both made a good choice. Since it's due to ship tommorrow, hopefully we should see a review sometime after midnight.
