RADEON 8500 3Dmark score ???

Hey. I was wondering what a decent score for the 3Dmark2001SE was? I have an AthlonXP 1800+ with 512 PC2700 Samsung and an ATI AIW Radeon 8500 128MB video card. Nothing is overclocked right now b/c i want to get a feel for what kind of a difference it makes after unlocking the Athlon. I have an Epox 8K5A2+ so it is really simple to OC the computer...just wondering what a good score was.

The result i got was 8800. I hope these are all the details you need and are not concerned with screen refresh rates and pixels, etc.

Thanks...

9000 seems to be a good score. you may find that some BIOS tweaks alone may get you to 9000. You have some nice ram there, so you should be able to do some nice overclocking. search google and you may be able t find exact settings on what your mem/mobo gives best results. goodluck.

Somebody posted here a few months ago that they got over 10,000 after OCing their Radeon 8500LE to around 300/300. I don't recall exactly their setup, but they had a Gigabyte kt333 board with an Athlon 1800 and 256 2700 memory.

That's a decent score for your set-up. Overclocking of course will yeild higher scores.
With my XP1600+ overclocked 10.5x146MHz/1533 and my Radeon 8500 300/300 I get around 9450.

Here's my results without overclocking. Running the latest Ati driver. Seems kind of low.

8340 3Dmark

AIW8500 128MB (retail)
Soyo Dragon Ultra Platinum
AMD 1800+
Cosair 2700 256mb ram
Maxtor 80gb & 40gb Raid 0

Now i feel really stupid becuase i can't seem to figure it out. With my old GeForce, i used the nVidia Tweak Utility to change the MHz on the card, but i don't know what the best way to do it fot the ATI is. Excuse my ineptitude, but it's only my first few days with it and VERY limited access to the internet. Is there a simple program, or should it be done in the BIOS???

Thanks a lot.
