OEM 1year, Retail 3year. Composit cable? depends of where/what you get. The "made by Ati" OEM usually comes with an S-video cable, not the composite type. The OEM I had was 270/230 std. and would do 315/280 with it's 4ns ram.

I would recommend you buy a "Made by Ati" OEM and not a "Powered by Ati" OEM.

Some of the "Powered by Ati" OEM's have 5.5ns ram, and are clocked real low. I think it's a buyer beware/specifications may change with-out notice type of world when you buy OEM.

It was awesome, gave me an extra 40+fps Q3 timedemo 1 over what my old Radeon 32mb DDR would do at the same settings. 1024x768 32bit, HQ everything maxed, HQ sound (no A3d) 7500= 118fps, but the 8500 is what I really wanted.

"built by ATI" cards have the same warranty length as retail cards, the so-called 7500 oem you saw from major vendors should have 3 years warranty from ati as the retail 7500.

I went to Neweggs site. They have the OEM (in the ATI section, not the ATI OEM "Powered By" section) for $96. I looked at the pics & it had the ATI red & white sticker on the fan, & ATI etched on various places of the pcb.
Is this a good deal for this? Is this a good deal for a casual gamer who does other types of work on his pc?
What speed memory chips would be on here & the overclocking potential?
Where would one pick up the latest & greatest drivers for this card to run on XP?

I was trying to find out more details on that one too. Newegg fails to respond to e-mails and user comments are mixed. It seems different versions may have been offered with the same newegg part number. I wonder if the picture is mixed up with the one for $130.

I have watched the price drop significantly over the past couple weeks and with more suppliers and new chips being released expect the trend to continue but it does seem a fair price compared to others on price watch, particularly taking into account shipping. They have had refurbs available in the past for $75 shipped. rage3d is the source for all things ATI.

If you find anything out please follow up.

I see that along with the launch of the 8500 128MB cards (and soon 8500 XT) the 7500 SRP is being lowered from $200 to $150. Buy.com already sells the retail version for $122 so I expect it will be below $100 soon and the OEM's at $75 can't be far off.
