Radeon 7500/Counter-Strike problems

I'm having problems running Counter-Strike with my Radeon 7500. I'm getting a max of 30 FPS in game (90 when doing a timerefresh). I have fps_max set to 100.

Running a 733
256 Megs SDRAM
21" HP P1100 Monitor

Can anyone suggest where I can get some tweaks or some better drivers for my card??? I was getting way more with my 3D Prophet 4500 before I installed the Radeon...

Well, that fixed the FPS issue, but now I'm constantly being dropped because of "Overflow" problems. Its happening about every 30-60 seconds whenever I connect. Any suggestions for that???

I was running a 3D Prophet 4500 with no problems playing CS. I did a clean driver install.

I just did a re-install of the drivers and CS as well, and it appears that even when I have the ati_npatch set to 1, I still overflow.

I'm running Windows XP as well.

I got the problem fixed. Re-installed HL and CS, applied the updates, downloaded the latest Radeon drivers, and applied the ATI patch put out by valve, and it appears to work fine...

thanks to all who helped
