Radeon 6950 hd bottleneck in old system?

Hi all- I just found out that I am getting a radeon HD 6950 for the holidays. I plan on over clocking the card, but I am concerned my memory and CPU will hold the gaming capabilities back (the PC is only used for gaming). I have a 1st gen i5 (750, not the 2500k)processor and 8 gigs of corsair Xms memory. I have the i5 over clocked stable to 3 GHz (the memory barely allows for those Speeds).

Is there a video card bottleneck here that is preventing the 6950 from performing well (when overclocked)?

I have the same card paired with an even worse CPU/RAM (Q9450 x 3,2/ 4Gb DDR 2) and I am all right for the most part at the same resolution.

Make sure they gift you the unlockable one:p

Get another 4GB of RAM for heavens sake LOL

That Quad core is no slouch either,,, OC that mofu to 4.2Ghz ,, games barely take up 60 percent CPU usage on my rig ,, soo there is no CPU bottleneck,, and everything runs at 60fps ,, 1080p 8xAA 16xAF high detail.. .hm,,

Thank you kind sir! Will take it under consideration:p

I'm planning a full platform upgrade, it's kinda pointless adding more stuff to my existing one, not to mention the DDR2 is endangered species over here, I think it's more expensive than DDR 3 lol.
