...gtx 560 448?

Isn't that a lot more expensive? But yeah, another strange release that one.

AMD already has a 6870, which I assume would be more profitable to sell. If anything a 6890 would make more sense than a 6930, unless they're trying to clear dies that are otherwise useless.

Think Raven is right on the money it competes against the 448 core...

So many choices this generation no one is gonna be unhappy in this gpu cycle...if this card can't compete with the 448 core but can come at the same price point as the gtx560 non ti they have a winner.

The hell? The 560-448 is EXPENSIVE :

$289!

And it's 1.2GB

This thing is supposed to be under $200 (which might mean $179, but hopefully more like $159 w/1GB).

The 448 would be a lot faster than this 6930 (stock v stock), and the price reflects that. If anything the 448 competes against some of the better 6950 2GB cards out there.

I will go with my heart on this one and exclaim both cards are useless overpriced overhyped cards that don't offer respected performance at their price tags.

No one knows really which card this 6930 is gonna battle against but a best guess a card perhaps to compete the gtx560 ti vanilla?

The 6870 battled against the gtx560 non ti if i remember right but i tell you its a bit late for amd to release such a card but at the price point it could be very appealing...

I think it's just a filler card to sell off some 69xx chips that didn't make the cut. They've done the exact same thing late in the life cycle with the 5830 and 4830.

I don't really see whats strange with this. AMD/ATI has been doing this since at least HD4000.

Like mentioned above, AMD has some chips that don't cut it as a 6950 and needs to ditch them before they are worthless (ie: when 7k's come out).

Performance will most likely fall between the 6870 and the 6950. I doubt its any sort of reaction to the 560-448. The timing doesn't work out for that. Not to mention the performance differences.

6930~ =gtx560ti 1gb

6950 is slower than a gtx560 ti 448 and a 6930 will be even slower than a 6950.

I think someone was just thinking the 560ti 448 was lower MSRP than it is. This 6930 can't sell for more than 6950 unless 6950s go out of stock/production. So expect ~$200 MSRP.
