Was looking for some info on these 2 cards.

am using a Geforce2 MX 32Mb at the moment and was thinking on getting one of these cards:

Radeon 64Mb VIVO or the Geforce2 GTS 32Mb or 64Mb version.

was leaning towards the Radeon for the DVD quality and the VIVO.
but will my gaming, and benchmarks improve much from my Geforce2 MX 32Mb?
checked a few benches between the Radeon and this Geforce2 MX,and it seems the Geforce2 MX out performed the Radeon with 750Mhz CPU's and under? is that possible?

Anandtech Test Results

And also,if i go with the Radeon will it be even close to the GF2 GTS 32Mb or 64Mb versions in games/Benches? (FPS etc)

Was wanting the Radeon to use with my video camera, but if the tests above are right and it don't perform as well as the GF2 MX in games,i'd have to pass.

Any info on this would be appreciated.
don't know a whole lot when it comes to Video cards. :)

Your gaming will substantially improve when using the Radeon as opposed to the MX, and will be competitive (but not equal or better) to the GTS. There's something to be said for the Radeon's image quality as well.

I see Radeon 8500 Retail Boxed 275/275 cards out there for $160 or less. That is the deal of the Month for sure. You will almost double your performance over the Radeon 64 DDR VIVO.

Personally I'd go with the classic Radeon 64MB VIVO over the GF2 GTS, it's a bit slower then the GTS but not by much. Plus you get better 2D, and better DVD playback which you say is important to you. It does have a slightly better 3D feature set as well... and if you like the VIVO features then it's a solid option.

You may also want to look into a Radeon 7500, quite a bit faster then the GTS or the classic 64MB VIVO Radeon, and shouldnt be much more expensive.

I would'nt get either. Neither one is much of an upgrade from your current card, at least not enough to be worth it. Get the Radeon 8500 or a Geforce 3 TI200 or better.

However if you go with a GF3 or a 7500/8500 you wouldn't get video in,
unless you get the 8500DV ($300) or a Gainward "XP" ($270-$300)
or a Visiontek Xtasy Everything (GF2MX though) or
Asus V8200/V7700. ($200)

I would suggest the Asus because it is a GF3 TI200 with S-video in.
It also comes bundled with Sacrifice, Messiah, and Star Trek New Worlds.
It is $175 Here

Just my $0.02

How do you figure that?! I'd say either is a HUGE upgrade over a lowly MX,here's why I say it:
All benchmarks 10X7X32, in MX/VIVO/GTS order:
http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1340&p=6
59/80/100fps at Q3

http://www.anandtech.com/showdoc.html?i=1340&p=7
69/86/113fps at MDK2

53/87/84fps at UT

Hmmm. Looks to me like a Radeon VIVO and a GF2 GTS are usable VGAs, whereas the MX is best left to people who don't know any better.
