I have a problem with one of my 5870's... GPU2 is working flawlsesly, but GPU1 won't clock any higher than 600 mhz on load, memory stops at 900mhz instead of the rated 1250.
When I open GPU-Z I see that the cvoltages are correct, but the AMPERAGE are not, theya re quite a bit lower on card one.
On load card 2 has VDDC Current/VDDCI Corrent @ about 44A/14.2A
On card one it's at 32.5A/9.6A
The card are watercooled and ALL the temps never exeed 50°, that includes VRM's and the whole nine yards.
This is all run on a corsair HX1000 watts. I also tried powering GPU1 from a separate powersupply and it made no difference in the current(A).
Any good ideas what this can be? Is it the power connector/internal powerhandling of the card that is bad or could it be the PCI-E on the board that is not quite up to snuff.
I used to run a 4870 X2 with no issues what so ever.. exept a quite high utility bill
Any help will be apreciated.
I tried the 9.11 drivers, 9.12 and 9.12 with the Hotfix.. all with the same result...
Running Win7 x64 Ultimate if anyone was wondering. But I really dont think this is a software thing, but hey.. you never know.. maybe a new BIOS could do the trick, but I don't wait to void my warranty just yet since the cards are 2 days old..
Thanks
