Radeon 32 and 64. which has better 2d image

hi can anyone answer my question? i need a card with good 2d image quality. are they as good as matrox g400 in terms of 2d image?

I would assume the two cards would be the same image quality wise. I've never used a G400, but I can tell you that the Radeon has extremely good 2D quality, its not even comparable to my old voodoo 3. However a must warn you that some users (including me) have been noticing wavy lines that seem to go through the image while using large monitors. Personaly I can only notice it when I get up very very close to my screen, but it is there. Not sure if its a driver issue or what, but a lot of people have been complaining about it at the Rage3D forum. The card still has near perfect 2D quality, but its something else to think about if your using a 21 inch monitor.
