Just gave this a shot. No perservatives, and delicious. Much better than some of the competing brands I've tried and cheaper. No nitrites, MSG, etc.
I don't know but they defnititely effect the overall taste of the food. Nitrates are a kind of salt...perservatives, well, it all depends what and how much.Originally posted by: Glayde
I wonder what nitrates and preservatives really taste like.
TJ's never has any specials. Their prices are pretty much constant on their products until an increase. The TJ prices will be the same from store to store.Originally posted by: maddogchen

Cheap as in inexpensive yes, but it's still high quality stuff. Yes, it's pre-cooked with sauce on it and everything so all you need do is nuke it for a few minutes and you're good to go.Originally posted by: sygyzy
Is it really that cheap? I've seen it, along with tri-tip but was afraid to try it. It's pre-marinated and everything, right?

For $10 it's hard to complain.

When you say nuke, you aren't suggesting microwaving it right? You would still grill it, right?
