Grocery shopping was getting too good.

Today my cashier was being loudly harassed by the next aisle's cashier and was being told that he doesn't appreciate his job, that some people work a lot harder than he for $5 a day to pick his vegetables (there was an obvious racial component to the hate). It went on, he was being cool-headed like always.
I said to her, "He's a good guy (we chat all the time)." She scowled and said, "No he's not!" She started yelling so I got a bit loud in saying, "Excuse me mam, I'm trying to interact with my cashier (he was trying to ask me how my day was)." She scoffed and stormed off (I'm white too).
  • So let's see, on the Blue Line train while smiling out the window at a lady with the tiniest dog I'd ever seen, the words were said to me, "Mutha f-in' cracka, you gonna die mutha f-er." It was post-needing a wheelchair. I will never forget those words.

  • Every single receptionist (doctor's, eye doc's, GP's, radiologist's...) acts as if I'm an enemy I think because I'm white since they treat those in their race quite the opposite.

  • The gang who brutalized me while calling me the three-letter f-word were of another race, but that might have been more about me being fabulous.

  • I took the bus once during car repairs, and a guy asking everyone for money said to me, "You're white, you have all the money."

  • And now there's racial hate in the checkout line.
Nobody asks me if Cesar Chavez, Martin Luther King, Joan Baez,... have been inspiring me toward racial harmony since the mid-sixties (they have).

I call him Martin (King) since I'm sure he and Eljon have met up there already with mom. I'm coming folks, my time here is so at an end, the content of my character matters not anymore, well to a few.

On a bright note, organic black, rasp, and blueberries (a big part of my new diet) were two for one. They didn't know what hit them.

It's liberals. They try to make everything about race. (if you're in the US)

Border security? Nope. Can't have that. It involves Mexicans, therefore border security would be racist.
Proof of citizenship to vote? Nope. That would eliminate illegal aliens from voting, and most aliens are Mexican. Therefore, racism.

The stupidity is monumental.

How that applies to this thread - constantly playing the race card makes everyone hypersensitive to anything involving racial differences, inflaming racial tensions. Not faulting the OP, just observing.

I was going to say "this post can't possibly be serious", but sadly, it probably is.

the problem you have with your Trumpian distortion of reality is that liberals want to treat everyone as human - so no they don't see race.

it's your ultra-nationalistic nativist and borderline turning into white supremacist party that turns everything into race and ethnicity. you racists don't see humans, you just see differences.

I don't want to see race. Why does it matter? WHY DOES IT MATTER TO ANYONE? I think I know, and I don't want to go there.

I heard my first racist comment when I was too young to understand. The neighbor's gardener was called a '*et-back' by another kid. I did our yard, I had no idea of the word.

Then I started learning about Cesar Chavez and MLK when he was still alive. Zen Buddhism was teaching me about 'loving kindness' at a very early age. There was The Hardy Boys, the Boy Scouts and many others who taught me how everyone deserves to be treated.

We've come a long way baby?

Racism definitely exists but I don't believe it underlies basically everything like the left (and some minorities) think it does.

If anyone called me "cracker" or said a racist thing to me, like "hey ya tiny dicked whitey" I'd laugh and go on with my day (my unit is massive), but that's just me.

Everybody is wrong when it comes to politics. We just have to hope there are enough wrong people on the opposite side to keep either party from actually accomplishing any of their idiotic ideas.

You were doing OK until that last sentence:

"On a bright note, organic black, rasp, and blueberries (a big part of my new diet) were two for one. They didn't know what hit them."

That is probably one of the whitest rich boy statements I've ever heard. I already hate you a little bit from that statement alone.

that's such a cop out. There have been monumental movements on the right side of history that were certainly not moderate in nature. Ending slavery. Giving blacks the right to vote. Women the right to vote. Workplace safety back in the early 20th century. Heck just the formation of the United States. Etc.. etc...

Rich? Hmmm. I make exactly 1,751/mo. on disability. I paid into the system all my life. When they can figure out a job where I don't have to type well (only my right finger can do that), or talk on the phone (my disabled left vocal chord), or be far from a restroom all day (AIDS meds. + gut problems are a bitch) I will work like a son-of-a-bitch.

The Internet, always telling me their opinion of me like my alcoholic family. I truly don't belong in your boxes either.

This country was literally founded on a pillar of white supremacy, followed by a civil war over whether it was acceptable to own people of another race, then followed by a hundred years of terror and segregation against minorities, and now continuing, institutionalized racism. It's impossible to miss the racial components that underlie many of the problems today in society, unless you willfully ignore the great stain on this nation's history and present.

Why would you hate a rich white boy?

After all, it's not like you invited it with your little rant about how tough it is to be white in today's world.

How old are you?
