racist nordstrom ad?

If you think thats racist you should have seen it before they had to photoshop down the black guys crotch bulge to make it even with the white guys crotch bulge cause those are some pretty tight pants and it wouldn't be fair.

Didn't think I'd get to use this GIF twice in one day.

I think nordstrom got the inspiration for the ad from the futurama clip. note the similarities...

-the finger pointing and robotic looking laugh
-the gray suit / gray metal

-the scowl and crossed arms on the one being laughed at
-purple hair / white top; white top / purple pants

The white guy is wearing traditional clothing associated with the upper class and the black guy is wearing hipster like clothing that makes him look silly or odd in some ways. The white guy is laughing while his thumb is pointing at the black guy. The store is also Nordstrom. Individually they might only be subtle racism but together they seem to add up as insulting and prejudiced.

That was actually the first thing I noticed with the ad. Although it still follows traditional clothing style for formality wear. Even the shirt the guy is wearing with the suit in the center is horrible and does not match the suit.

It's fitted around the shoulders but tailored like a potato sack around the waist, the lapels are terrible. Its just not a very nice suit jacket.
